Cucumber Chilla!
Yes, this is instant and easy peasy dish to make. Though sounds like a breakfast menu, but most of the time we relish it for our dinner. One
A few years ago during a girls lunch date, my friend made these scrumptious
Ingredients
- 2 cups grated cucumber
- 1 1/2 cups chickpea flour
- 1/2 cup rice flour
- 1/2 cup finely chopped cilantro
- 1 green chili, chopped
- 3/4 tsp red chili powder
to tastesalt - 1/2 tsp turmeric
ofpinch hing - 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp fruit salt (
)eno - 2 cups water
- Oil or Ghee as needed
Method
- In a mixing bowl, take grated cucumber
- Add chickpea flour / rice flour / cilantro / green chili / red chili powder / salt / turmeric / cumin & coriander powder /
, water & mix everything togetherhing - Add fruit salt just before making
, mix wellchillas - With the help of ladle spread the batter on hot griddle, turn side, apply ghee or oil & cook till golden brown from both sides
- Enjoy hot with choice of green or Imly chutney
