Cleaning Tip for Toughest Vessel

Bill Gates Said " I choose a lazy person to do a hard job. Because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it"

Trust me, this quote goes so well with a person like me!

I had almost given up on this kadai of mine, which I only use for frying, but just can't use my muscles to clean it. While my mind was all set to discard it, tabhi dimmag ki batti jali, bas phir kya gave it a try n result is in front of you all. Yes, without any scrubbing powder -  such a breeze

Chamkao chamko ab sare purane bartan chamkao

Wishing everyone a sparkling clean, festive season!

Method:
  • Use self cleaning oven mode on your conventional oven, That's it! Keep your vessel in the oven, set it at the self cleaning mode as instructed. When done, you will get the sparkling clean vessel.
  • For my conventional oven, cleaning cycle is 4 1/2 hours.
  • Just rinse it with warm water and soap.
  • Make sure there are no plastic parts on, only for metal vessels. Not for non stick ones.
  • Works good with aluminium, iron and hard anodize.

Rush to the kitchen now, you can always thank me later ;) hehehe

Instant Oil Free Banana Chips

Crispy Crunchy Banana Chips !

Chips are my weakness, whether its banana, potato or any other, I just love the crunch in it. It's really hard for me to be away from junk food, at the same time can't afford to munch on calories all the time.  Hence this quick fix, oil free version of banana chips for those little hunger pangs with tea or coffee :) that also makes it a very healthy snack choice for kids!

Nope, it's not at all time consuming all you need is 5 min and a magical gadget of a kitchen, Microwave. That's all... can it get any more tempting than this, come-on, give it try NOW!

Ingredients
  • plantain aka raw banana
  • Salt to taste
  • Chat Masala / Red chili powder (Optional if you like to sprinkle it on chips)
Method
  • Peel and slice the banana. Make sure to have equal thickness that will help to get the evenly crispy chips.
  • Rub the salt on banana slices.
  • Keep kitchen towel on a microwave proof plate, and arrange banana slices in single layer (as shown in pic below).
  • Microwave it for 2 min, turn the side and again microwave it for 1 min, check and do it for 30 sec more. It should be done. If not then do it for just 15 sec more. Once it cools off becomes more crispy.
  • Sprinkle with chat masala, red chili powder if desired and enjoy your freshly made oil free banana chips!
