Let's get started
Ingredients
- 1 big onion or 2 medium size, cut into half and slices
- 1 cup besan / chickpea flour
- 1 tbsp rice flour
- 1 green chili, chopped
- Hand full of chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 3 tbsp hot oil + for frying
- 1/2 tsp
ajwain - 1/2 tsp sesame seeds
- Pinch of
hing - 1 Tbsp of garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp of turmeric
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 4 tbsp water
- 1/2 tsp fruit salt
Method
- In a mixing bowl, add sliced onion / salt / chopped green chili / red chili powder, mix well & let it rest for 5-7 min
- Now add 1 cup of sifted chickpea flour / 1 tbsp rice flour / cilantro / coriander & cumin powder / garlic paste / turmeric /
ajwain / sesame seeds /hing , mix everything together using hands - Add 1/2 tsp of fruit salt, on fruit salt (
eno ), add 3 tbsp of hot oil & mix everything well. - Use 1 tbsp water at a time to blend everything together, I used 4 tbsp water.
- Fry
bhaji in hot oil till golden brown, remove on kitchen towel. - Serve hot with green & imly chutney, enjoy hot.
